Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the official website of SCOBSA, the SSCBS Alumni Association, including all event registrations, donations, sponsorship contributions, and related transactions conducted through the website. By accessing the website or completing any transaction, the user agrees to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy. If a user does not agree with any provision herein, such user must immediately cease use of the website.

SCOBSA is a registered society formed for the purpose of fostering alumni engagement, professional networking, mentorship, and institutional development relating to Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies. The website serves as a facilitative platform for information dissemination, event management, and voluntary contributions. It does not constitute a commercial marketplace and does not offer consumer goods for sale.

Users represent and warrant that they are legally competent to enter into binding agreements under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. Any use of the website by minors must be undertaken under the supervision of a lawful guardian. Users further agree that all information provided during registration or payment shall be accurate, complete, and not misleading. SCOBSA reserves the right to cancel registrations or reject payments obtained through fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful means.

 

All payments made through the website are subject to confirmation by the designated payment gateway and the user’s financial institution. SCOBSA shall not be liable for delays, failures, or reversals caused by banking systems, card networks, or gateway providers. Payment confirmation emails are generated based on successful transaction acknowledgments and do not independently verify final settlement status beyond the gateway confirmation.

The Association retains absolute discretion regarding allocation and utilization of funds collected. Contributions may be used for venue expenses, speaker engagements, event production, hospitality, marketing, alumni initiatives, or administrative costs necessary to fulfill the objectives of the society. No contributor shall acquire ownership rights, equity interest, voting rights, or contractual claims over the manner of fund deployment by virtue of making a payment.

All intellectual property appearing on the website, including but not limited to logos, event branding, designs, photographs, written content, and audiovisual material, is the exclusive property of SCOBSA or its licensors. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, or commercial exploitation of such content is strictly prohibited and may invite civil and criminal remedies under applicable law.

Participants attending the conclave agree to adhere to standards of professional conduct and decorum. SCOBSA reserves the right to deny entry or remove any participant engaging in disruptive, unlawful, defamatory, or inappropriate behavior. Such removal shall not entitle the participant to any refund or compensation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCOBSA disclaims liability for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the website or participation in the conclave. Total liability, if any, shall in no event exceed the amount paid by the user in connection with the specific transaction giving rise to the claim. Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless SCOBSA, its office bearers, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, losses, or expenses arising out of misuse of the website or breach of these Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India and disputes shall be subject to exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Delhi NCR.
